Hot Tub Lids
Hot Tub Lids
Hot tub lids will most likely need replacement at some point during the life of the hot tub.
They hold up well for many years, even with lots of use and abuse like mine gets, however eventually, you will need to find a replacement.
Replacement covers can be found online all over the place, but you want to go with a company that really seems to know what they’re talking about, and that specializes in .
Some companies that carry swimming pool supplies have such a large line of products, that they can’t possibly specialize in everything.
And personally, my experience has been that you get better information when you work with a company that specializes in hot tubs, not one that carries pools AND hot tubs. Those folks tend to direct more of their attention to the pools than to the spas.
But that’s just my opinion!
I’d really recommend finding someone local to purchase your hot tub cover and hot tub supplies from. If you’re new to the hot tub world, there is a ton of information that you can get from these folks that you won’t get online.
That being said, if you do decide to purchase online, Discount Spa Covers and Discount Hot Tub Lids direct from the manufacturer seems to be a good place to go online.
I like that they specialize in one thing, increasing the possibility that they’ll do that one thing right! This site receives no financial compensation for referrals to this company, and please feel free to contact me if you have anything but a positive experience with them.
If you’re planning to have a cover on your hot tub, which you will need to do to keep the heat in and cost down, of course, I would HIGHLY recommend the purchase of a hot tub cover lift!
Seriously, loosen the purse strings on this one.
They’re easy to install, relatively inexpensive, and make the use of your hot tub SO much easier and more enjoyable!
There is some variety with , with some being made a bit more sturdy and able to handle snow better, however most covers are basically the same.
They’re designed for 1 primary reason: To keep the heat in the tub when not in use!
Leave your hot tub exposed to the elements for a few days, and your electric bill will tell you exactly why you have a hot tub cover.
I’ve also recently learned that covers serve to keep debris out of the hot tub. Perhaps this is self-explanatory to most, but I don’t have any trees near my hot tub, and so I never thought of it.
That is, until a recent wind storm hit, and loads of pine needles descended on my poor, unsuspecting hot tub.
It was NOT fun to clean all of those pine needles!
Again, and this point bears bears repeating…to get the most out of your hot tub cover, and to ensure that it holds up for many years, make sure you’ve installed a hot tub cover lift to use along with your cover.
